Επισκόπηση

Τον Σεπτέμβριο του 2024, σε σύγκριση με τον Αύγουστο του 2024, η εποχικά προσαρμοσμένη βιομηχανική παραγωγή μειώθηκε κατά 2,0% τόσο στη ζώνη του ευρώ όσο και στην ΕΕ , σύμφωνα με τις πρώτες εκτιμήσεις της Eurostat, της στατιστικής υπηρεσίας της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης . Τον Αύγουστο του 2024, η βιομηχανική παραγωγή αυξήθηκε κατά 1,5% στη ζώνη του ευρώ και κατά 1,2% στην ΕΕ .

Τον Σεπτέμβριο του 2024, σε σύγκριση με τον Σεπτέμβριο του 2023, η βιομηχανική παραγωγή μειώθηκε κατά 2,8% στη ζώνη του ευρώ και κατά 2,4% στην ΕΕ .

Μηνιαία σύγκριση ανά κύριο βιομηχανικό όμιλο και ανά κράτος μέλος

Στη ζώνη του ευρώ τον Σεπτέμβριο του 2024 σε σύγκριση με τον Αύγουστο του 2024, η βιομηχανική παραγωγή

παρέμεινε σταθερή για τα ενδιάμεσα αγαθά,
μειώθηκε κατά 1,5% για την ενέργεια,
μειώθηκε κατά 3,8% για τα κεφαλαιουχικά αγαθά,
αυξήθηκε κατά 0,5% για διαρκή καταναλωτικά αγαθά,
αυξήθηκε κατά 1,6% για τα μη διαρκή καταναλωτικά αγαθά.

Στην ΕΕ, βιομηχανική παραγωγή

μειώθηκε κατά 0,1% για τα ενδιάμεσα αγαθά,
μειώθηκε κατά 1,6% για την ενέργεια,
μειώθηκε κατά 3,2% για τα κεφαλαιουχικά αγαθά,
αυξήθηκε κατά 0,3% για διαρκή καταναλωτικά αγαθά,
αυξήθηκε κατά 0,5% για τα μη διαρκή καταναλωτικά αγαθά.

Οι μεγαλύτερες μηνιαίες μειώσεις καταγράφηκαν στην Ιρλανδία (-10,7%), στη Δανία (-5,0%) και στην Ολλανδία (-2,9%). Οι υψηλότερες αυξήσεις παρατηρήθηκαν στην Κροατία (+5,8%), στην Πορτογαλία (+2,7%) και στη Σλοβενία (+1,6%).

Ετήσια σύγκριση ανά κύριο βιομηχανικό όμιλο και ανά κράτος μέλος

Στη ζώνη του ευρώ τον Σεπτέμβριο του 2024, σε σύγκριση με τον Σεπτέμβριο του 2023, η βιομηχανική παραγωγή

μειώθηκε κατά 2,6% για τα ενδιάμεσα αγαθά,
αυξήθηκε κατά 1,9% για την ενέργεια,
decreased by 6.4% for capital goods,
decreased by 1.7% for durable consumer goods,
increased by 4.8% for non-durable consumer goods.

In the EU, industrial production

decreased by 2.5% for intermediate goods,
increased by 1.4% for energy,
decreased by 5.6% for capital goods,
decreased by 1.5% for durable consumer goods,
increased by 4.5% for non-durable consumer goods.

The largest annual decreases were recorded in Ireland (-7.3%), Luxembourg (-6.3%) and Hungary (-5.3%). The highest increases were observed in Denmark (+7.8%), Belgium (+6.0%) and Lithuania (+3.5%).

Revisions and timetable

Compared with data issued in the News Release of 15 October 2024, the monthly percentage change for August 2024 has been revised from +1.8% to +1.5% in the euro area and from +1.3% to +1.2% in the EU. The annual percentage change has been revised from +0.1% to -0.1% in the euro area and from +0.2% to +0.1% in the EU.

Methods and definitions

The index of industrial production measures the evolution of the volume of production for industry excluding construction, based on data adjusted for calendar and seasonal effects.

Seasonally adjusted euro area and EU series are calculated by aggregating the seasonally adjusted national data.

Total industry covers NACE rev.2 sections B to D. Missing observations from Member States for recent months are estimated for the calculation of the euro area and the EU aggregates.

Starting with reference period January 2024, the base year of the data has been changed to 2021, since 2018 the base year had been 2015. More information on the reasons for and impact of the base year change can be found in the related Statistics Explained article.

Geographical information

The euro area (EA20) includes Belgium, Germany, Estonia, Ireland, Greece, Spain, France, Croatia, Italy, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Austria, Portugal, Slovenia, Slovakia and Finland.

The European Union (EU27) includes Belgium, Bulgaria, Czechia, Denmark, Germany, Estonia, Ireland, Greece, Spain, France, Croatia, Italy, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Hungary, Malta, the Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia, Finland and Sweden.
