Ο ετήσιος ρυθμός πληθωρισμού στη ζώνη του ευρώ ήταν 1,7% τον Σεπτέμβριο του 2024, από 2,2% τον Αύγουστο. Ένα χρόνο νωρίτερα, το ποσοστό ήταν 4,3%. Ο ετήσιος πληθωρισμός της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης ήταν 2,1% τον Σεπτέμβριο του 2024, από 2,4% τον Αύγουστο. Ένα χρόνο νωρίτερα, το ποσοστό ήταν 4,9%. Τα στοιχεία αυτά δημοσιεύονται από τη Eurostat, τη στατιστική υπηρεσία της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης .
Τα χαμηλότερα ετήσια ποσοστά καταγράφηκαν στην Ιρλανδία (0,0%), στη Λιθουανία (0,4%), στη Σλοβενία και στην Ιταλία (και οι δύο 0,7%). Τα υψηλότερα ετήσια ποσοστά καταγράφηκαν στη Ρουμανία (4,8%), στο Βέλγιο (4,3%) και στην Πολωνία (4,2%). Σε σύγκριση με τον Αύγουστο του 2024, ο ετήσιος πληθωρισμός μειώθηκε σε είκοσι κράτη μέλη, παρέμεινε σταθερός σε δύο και αυξήθηκε σε πέντε.
Τον Σεπτέμβριο του 2024, η υψηλότερη συνεισφορά στον ετήσιο ρυθμό πληθωρισμού της ζώνης του ευρώ προήλθε από τις υπηρεσίες (+1,76 ποσοστιαίες μονάδες, π.μ.), ακολουθούμενες από τα τρόφιμα, το αλκοόλ και τον καπνό (+0,47 π.μ.), τα μη ενεργειακά βιομηχανικά αγαθά (+0,12 ποσοστιαίες μονάδες) και ενέργειας (-0,60 pp).

Revisions and timetable
A flash estimate of euro area inflation is issued at the end of each reference month. The euro area flash estimate for September 2024, published on 1 October 2024, was 1.8%.
The next flash estimate of euro area inflation with data for October 2024 is scheduled for 31 October 2024.
Methods and definitions
Annual inflation is the change of the price level of consumer goods and services between the current month and the same month of the previous year. Monthly inflation is the change of the price level between the current month and the previous month.
A contribution shows how much of the annual inflation rate comes from a particular component of the HICP. The contributions are calculated according to a method which ensures their additivity (allowing for rounding).
Geographical information
The euro area consists of Belgium, Germany, Estonia, Ireland, Greece, Spain, France, Croatia, Italy, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Austria, Portugal, Slovenia, Slovakia and Finland.
The European Union includes Belgium, Bulgaria, Czechia, Denmark, Germany, Estonia, Ireland, Greece, Spain, France, Croatia, Italy, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Hungary, Malta, the Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia, Finland and Sweden.
The euro area and European Union data refer to the respective country compositions at a specific point in time. Changes in the composition of these aggregates are incorporated using a chain index formula.
